Free Music and FFX at Music City Center highlight CMA Festival

There are a few new wrinkles in this year’s CMA Fest. The 2013 CMA Music Festival will take over downtown Nashville Thursday through Sunday, June 6-9, with six free stages in the outdoor footprint and countless activities. Tickets for the nightly concerts at LP Field sold out six weeks in advance of the 2013 Festival, but there are innumerable opportunities to watch Country Music’s best and brightest perform at CMA Music Festival. Performance lineups are available for fans to view at CMAfest.com

“Tickets to LP Field sold faster than ever, but the good news for our fans is if you didn’t get a ticket for LP Field there are nine other entertainment and music stages, plus special events, and activities throughout downtown Nashville to enjoy,” said Steve Moore, CMA chief executive officer.

Attendees can find free music throughout downtown Nashville with non-stop performances. CMA Music Festival’s newest attraction is the AT&T U-Verse Fan Fair X (FFX) at the Music City Center featuring three live entertainment stages with performances, celebrity question and answer sessions, and more. Fans can play paparazzi and snap photos of the stars on the Red Carpet, shop the Fan Fair X Marketplace, and discover country memorabilia on display.

“With the expansion of our autograph signings, concerts, and family events into the new Music City Center (which we have dubbed Fan Fair X) local and regional residents have affordable, easy access to great entertainment with hundreds of our most popular artists,” said Moore.

Some of the artists who will be making appearances at FFX include: Lauren Alaina, Bill Anderson, Kix Brooks, Laura Bell Bundy, Kristian Bush, Eli Young Band, Florida Georgia Line, Brantley Gilbert, Lee Greenwood, Randy Houser, Lady Antebellum, Tracy Lawrence, Brenda Lee, Little Big Town, Dustin Lynch, Justin Moore, Kip Moore, Craig Morgan, Joe Nichols, The Oak Ridge Boys, Cassadee Pope, Lisa Marie Presley, Thomas Rhett, Josh Turner, Wynonna, and Chris Young. Country artists aren’t the only celebrities making appearances in FFX. For the first time in 2013, the cast of A&E’s Duck Dynasty will be in the Music City Center to meet fans and sign autographs.

“Fan Fair X is triple the size of what we had in the past and we are filling the space with more entertainment, shopping, lifestyle exhibits, and a new area that is being programmed just for children and families,” Moore said. “And we are still offering all of our free events and concerts—from our kick off parade to our Daily Concerts on the Chevrolet Riverfront Stage.”

It all kicks off Thursday, June 6 with ‘Lady A Day at FFX’ featuring Lady Antebellum performing, signing autographs, and cutting the ribbon when Fan Fair X officially opens to fans. FFX is free to all CMA Music Festival four-day ticket holders—if not, $10 a day or $25 for a four-day pass (Children 12 and under free). Tickets are available at the Music City Center.
