The Unique Gents will be celebrating their 9th annual Unique Gent/Edward M. Mullins Legacy Celebration & Reunion at East Park on Saturday, June 15, beginning at 9:30 am. The Unique Gents are a coalition of men who are committed to service by contributing to the Greater Nashville Community as role models and mentors for youth, and respectful gentlemen as servants to senior citizens.

The commitment is based on principles established by the late Edward M. Mullins, Jr. who was founder and organizer of the Unique Gents. Mullins served as a mentor and teacher to the current members of the organization when they were youth growing up in the east Nashville neighborhoods. It is out of respect for his legacy that the Unique Gents united as adult men to serve as a resource for the Nashville community.

The theme for this year’s annual event is ‘Building a Legacy of Service.’ The guest speaker will be Howard Gentry, Jr., Criminal Court Clerk of Davidson County. The Unique Gents are a 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt non-profit organization. This event is free and the public  is encouraged to attend.
