During the holiday season many people participated in obtaining an “Angel” from a variety of Angel Trees in an effort to provide holiday cheer for others.  Andrelia’s Personal Touch Catering hosted a “Feed the Elderly for Christmas, 2013” as an “Adopt an Elder” program.

In mid-December Andrelia’s Personal Touch Catering provided an assembly of feeding for elderly recipients at the Kelly Miller Smith Memorial Towers.  Following that program, baskets and care packages were delivered to each “Elder Angel” that was chosen at the dinner.   The elders received non-perishable food items, personal hygiene items and clothing.

Why the elderly?  Andrelia said, “Everyone normally thinks of the children at Christmas time and that too is a good thing.  But, this year we want to remember those that have helped us to get where we are today.  The silent leaders and warriors of wisdom, grace and nurturing—The elderly population, aka ‘Andrelia’s Elder Angels.’”
