Jack and Jill of America, Inc., Nashville Teen Chapter, had the opportunity to attend the Boyz II Men Concert held at the Schermerhorn Center on March 20. Not only was it a fun event put it was also educational for the teens, who met prior to the concert with the CEO of the up and coming National Museum for African American Music, Henry Beecher Hicks III, at a reception.
During the reception there was a discussion regarding music back in the day (then), and the music of today (now). They talked about how music has changed, and how a lot of music has remained the same. It was informative and educational. Then the fun began when the concert started. The teens were also able to go back stage and meet the group after the performance. It was a fun event. Ross Fleming IV, a senior at Hume Fogg High Academic Magnet School, is president of the Teen Group.
