Nashville voters received flyers in the mail stating, “End Domestic Violence Vote Against Jason Holleman”.
Holleman is currently the Metro Councilman for District 24 , the Sylvan Park area, and running for Metro Council At-Large.
The flyer references an article in the Tennessean, ‘Metro Councilman Jason Holleman’s ex goes to police, court for help‘. The article states that police were called out three times in February to Holleman’s home because of “arguments and disputes” and that Holleman’s ex-wife had sought a protection order.
The article goes on to read, “A police report from February says that Holleman’s then-wife called officers after an argument when Holleman threw a lamp that hit her in the head.”
The article also discusses other reports that include: two incidents of harassment, breaking a flower pot in the couple’s former home after an argument, and Holleman getting into his ex-wife’s home by copying a key and being found by a contractor.
Metro Councilman Jason Holleman says that he has never been charged with domestic violence.
