“Operation Feed Nashville” is a product of a partnership between One Gen Away and the Pastor’s Forum, two groups that came  together for a common cause…to feed Nashville in early March.  They are returning on Saturday, April 23 at 10:30 a.m. at Manna From Heaven Dinner House, 3510 West Hamilton Road.  More than 400 families will be given enough food to last them up to two weeks. Food items include rice, beans, a variety of vegetables and fruit, crackers, breakfast, lunch and dinner items and much more. (Photo ID will be required to receive food. Only one giveaway per household.)

100_0286“The tough reality is that people in our community are still struggling to put enough food on the table,” said the Reverend Ronnie Mitchell, pastor of New Livingstone Baptist Church.  “This giveaway is designed to feed those in need, particularly children who, without school, do not eat during the day,” Mitchell added.

These food giveaways have been in the planning stages for many weeks. Not only are organizers hoping to feed people with food, but they hope to bring people and churches together, regardless of race and class to do God’s will.
