‘Domestic Violence Forum’ to be held October 2

The Nashville Hook Up of Black Women, Inc. in conjunction with Environment of Grace Women’s Ministry of Cleveland Street Missionary Baptist Church will host a ‘Domestic Violence Forum’ on October 2 at Cleveland Street Baptist Church located at 608 Cleveland Street, Nashville, Tenn. 37207 from 4-6 pm.

The theme of the forum is ‘Enough Is Enough — Are You Ready to Exit?’ The event will offer information sessions for women and men with the focus on how to respond to victims of domestic violence. Presentations will include testimonials from survivors of domestic violence. There will also be a Community and Family Response, question and answer session, and a ‘Call to Action.’

Awards and prizes will be presented to winners of the Nashville Coalition Against Domestic Violence teen essay contest. Students will share their compositions during the special recognition ceremony. Women and men of all ages are invited to participate. Light refreshments will be served.
