March 26 will be forever remembered in Gospel music and spiritual archives for some time to come. That was the day that Denotra Sharpe Sneed tore the house down and left the congregation in lovingly, slain Holy Ghost pieces during the morning service at the Born Again Church and Christian Outreach Ministries.
The vested and always humble Denotra utilized her earthy, tantalizing voice to captivate the packed house. During this service, she officially launched her new three songs Gospel CD. The lineup includes: ‘Standing on the Promises’; ‘Jehovah God’; and ‘Enter In It’ (with Bishop Horace Hockett, church shepherd).
With each nuance she captivated all on the pulpit and in the packed audience. Denotra is as talented as she is beautiful. Upon entering the pulpit to sing, she was introduced by her equally talented husband of 15 years, Charles Sneed.
As a proud member of the Born Again Church and Christian Outreach Ministries, Denotra and her team will launch her new music there in conjunction with the Sunday morning services. The dynamic and long awaited titled CD, Denotra, pays homage to all facets of God’s work, including the title track ‘Jehovah,’ widely used to refer to God in the Old Testament.
Once known as the little girl with the strong, big voice, Denotra has been singing since the age of five on her parent’s porch. She is now in the mainstream limelight, contributing to Gospel music and ministry in song. After she (figuratively) slew the audience and was overtaken by the Holy Spirit, it was crystal clear that this was no ordinary church service. Her manager Erica Grider praised her for her tireless works in this vineyard.
