Goodwill Industries launches new ‘99 cent’ concept

g.Whether it is through donations, a wild or subdued shopping spree (online or in person), or through their job and training programs, Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee has been a life raft of goodness for the countless many who tie in with them.

The beauty of it all is that any sales of donated items in Goodwill’s stores support their mission of changing lives through education, training and employment. Every purchase helps to fund career assistance and meaningful, paid work for people with disabilities and other barriers to employment.

All bargain-hunters are sure to love a new concept that Goodwill Industries is testing in select stores. For a limited time at its stores in Dickson, Tenn., Gallatin, Tenn., Springfield, Tenn. and Nashville’s Bellevue community, Goodwill will offer a wide variety of merchandise priced at 99 cents every day.

This new concept kicked off on Tuesday, May 30, with thousands of items to choose from ranging from clothing, linens, décor items, kitchenware and much more. The ‘99 cent’ items on sale are marked with a tag of a particular color. Signs will alert shoppers to which color indicates an item priced at 99 cents.

In Springfield and Bellevue, these items will be displayed in a special section of the store titled ‘99 Cent Bargains.’ In Dickson and Gallatin, the 99 cent merchandise will be found throughout the sales floor.

Customers at all four stores will also find a large selection of merchandise marked down to half off Goodwill’s already unbeatable prices. All sales of donated items in Goodwill’s stores support its mission of changing lives through education, training and employment.

Those who check out the all inclusive Goodwill will find everything from ‘Mission News,’ success stories, styling tips—and yes, their latest endeavor of sales and pop up specialties.
