As we move past the half way mark for the year 2017, there is already a lot to savor for the months gone by. Summer NAMM 2017 enjoyed a successful wrap and infused a myriad of greatness into Nashville once again as it packed the Music City Center Convention Center. NAMM is an invaluable resource and credit to the music industry as a whole. The city known to the world as Music City USA, lived up to the expectations of vendors, conference attendees, media and entertainment industry professionals.

The NAMM shows are a well-balanced combination of educational productions, exhibiting the latest in products and services relating to the ever-changing music industry. The trade convention-style platform covers a myriad of information over the three-and-a-half day period. It’s fun, upbeat, and the vendors are experienced and well rounded in their product and services line. Many popular, local and national bands and musicians play at various times throughout the event.

NAMM ‘U’ is one of the best draws of the summer show, providing key and inside tip information including: sales, marketing, management, finance and industry lessons. It’s suggested that attendees take in at least one of the power packed music industry sessions.

To venture deeper into ‘all things NAMM,’ take some time out to become familiar with the carefully tailored NAMM Foundation. It’s truly been a catalyst to support the younger crowd via academics and a staunch tie-in to the music industry.

If Summer NAMM 2017 proved to be such a big hit and packed them in daily, imagine what the larger NAMM show will be like in January, 2018. Known as the 2018 NAMM Show, that major event takes place annually in Los Angeles, California.

Like Summer NAMM 2017, the NAMM Show 2018 will have a great deal to offer (even more since it’s a larger event).

Highlights include:
NAMM and the Entertainment Services and Technology Association (ESTA)’s alliance promising to enhance, develop and possibly change some areas of the music industry.

One major tidbit from the forthcoming NAMM Show in 2018: the Parnelli board of advisors has announced that pro audio pioneer and DiGiCo technical director John Stadius will receive the 2018 Parnelli Audio Innovator Award.
