On Monday, the Tennessee Titans defeated the Indianapolis Colts 36-22, as they snapped 11-game losing streak against the Colts. The team improved to 3-3 as they sit atop the standings of the AFC South tied with the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Houston Texans.

In Marcus Mariota’s return from a hamstring injury, the quarterback was very efficient in the pocket. He completed 23 of 32 pass attempts, which totaled a season-high 306 yards, including a 53-yard touchdown pass to Taywan Taylor.

“He’s as tough as I’ve been around and made some throws that were, obviously that one to Taywan was a big throw,” Titans head coach Mike Mularkey said. “It was a real big throw. I mean he did. He played well.”

However, the star of the night was Derrick Henry who had a career night, rushing the ball for 131 yards on 19 carries. In the fourth quarter, as the Titans proceeded to milk the clock, the running back found an opening in the middle of the field and broke two tackles which led to a 72-yard touchdown.

Despite being without their franchise quarterback Andrew Luck, the Colts controlled the game for the majority of the first half with Jacoby Brissett willing his team to a 13-9 halftime lead.

Tennessee’s defense came out of the halftime break nearly unstoppable, forcing Indianapolis to go three-and-out on their initial three drives.

Music City can finally put the losing streak against the Colts to rest after Monday’s victory.

The Titans will travel to Cleveland to face the Browns on Sunday, which will be followed by their bye week. The Browns have yet to win a game this season, despite selecting Myles Garrett with the number one pick in the NFL Draft earlier this year.
