One week after winning the District 1 Special Runoff Election, Jonathan Hall was sworn in at Word of Life Church on July 6. Hall was joined by family, friends, past district council members, and many of his new council colleagues.
Former District 1 Councilman, Judge Nick Leonardo, swore Hall in.
“It’s my distinct pleasure to be here to swear in my friend and successor, Councilman-elect Jonathan Hall,” said Leonardo. “I’ve seen his work as our Beautification Commissioner. He’s fully invested in District 1.”
As he was sworn in, Hall was joined by his mom and his daughter.
Following the oath, Hall said: “This district is the true character of Nashville. I would not trade growing up anywhere else or any other area of this town for anything. Roots matter. District 1 represents not just what this city is, but what this city can truly be.”
