The Nashville General Hospital Foundation will present its third annual Open House and Art Tour on February 12, from 5:30-7:30 pm. The public is invited to visit the General Hospital at 1818 Albion Street for two occasions. The doors will open for visitation at 5:30 pm, with a self-guided tour of selected artwork. Visitors will find a variety of art on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 11th floors.
At 6 pm, a ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held for the Food Pharmacy, and at 6:15 pm reception will be held on the 11th floor lobby.
Nashville General Hospital, formerly Hubbard Hospital, is a functioning hospital that also serves as a teaching hospital for Meharry Medical School training. The hospital was renamed in 1994 when the government of Metropolitan Davidson County moved its public hospital to Meharry’s campus. Today, under the direction of Meharry faculty, Meharry’s students and residents train at Nashville General Hospital where they encounter a broad range of medical experiences, including surgeries.
The hospital is equipped with 125-staffed beds and features an advanced Breast Health Center, cardiac catheterization lab, emergency department, medical imaging, and several clinics.

“We operate a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) recognized at the highest level by the National Committee for Quality Assurance. Our PCMH ensures a primary care physician is coordinating with the patient, the patient’s larger care network, the patient’s family, and community resources for optimal health outcomes.”
