All of Nashville is invited for a day of fun at Bicentennial Capitol Mall Park.

State Sen. Brenda Gilmore is inviting all Metro Nashville families and children to the 10th annual Kids & Kites Day at Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park from 10 am-2 pm on Saturday, May 25.

“Kids & Kites Day is a special day for Nashville’s children to enjoy themselves and spend the day having fun with their family and friends,” said Gilmore. “This wonderful event helps fight childhood obesity and related health issues that negatively affect children’s lives.”

Events for the day include face painting, exciting games, dancing, cool giveaway prizes, great music, free food, and of course kite flying over the Capitol.
The event serves a diverse number of children, motivates children to empower themselves, and teaches children good citizenship.

Event founders State Sen. Brenda Gilmore, at-large Metro Councilwoman Erica Gilmore, and Lois Winston of the Red Hat Society are grateful for the continued support of the community for the event and look forward to seeing everyone there.
