Rev. Troy Holbert and Gary Butler are guest speakers at Jackson Street

The members, family and friends of Jackson Street Missionary Baptist Church will be celebrating their 111th anniversary on Sunday, June 23. The anniversary will be celebrated with two services that day.

The morning will begin with an 11 am worship service in which Rev. Troy Holbert of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church will deliver a word from the chosen theme of ‘Still Praying and Keeping It Real’ taken from Philippians 4:6.

Immediately following the morning worship service, guests are invited to a fellowship dinner, after which another worship service will take place. At 3:30 pm, everyone will reassemble in the sanctuary for service and a word from Rev. Gary Butler, pastor of Pinnacle Life Ministries.

“This is an interesting task, but it’s great to celebrate 111 years of ministry on this corner,” said George Darden, one of the anniversary coordinators.
“Here at Jackson Street, we are ‘still praying and keeping it real’ and we look forward to the messages that will come from both of these dynamic speakers.”

Jackson Street Missionary Baptist Church is located at 1209 Jackson Street where the pastor is Rev. Robert Leon Pearson.
