Who can be healed?

Healing is available to anyone who desires to be healed—anyone with any ailment. It can be a physical ailment, an addiction, financial issues or relationship issues with family or friends. Healing is available for any situation that is not healthy for your wellbeing. God wants us well and whole in our entire body (spirit and soul inclusive).

Medical science heals our bodies through physical means by administering medicine into the physical body, God’s divine healing is spiritual. It is administered through the human spirit. “God sent his word and healed them,” Psalm 107:20.

There are other methods anyone can utilize to restore health to their body. Some methods used to heal the body include:

1) Have someone, who is a believer in Christ minister healing to you—the part of your body that needs healing. “Is anyone of you sick? He should call for the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well,” James 5: 14-16. “The prayer of a righteous man is effective and powerful,” James 5:16b.

2) Take God’s word (scriptures) as medicine daily (Proverbs 4:20-22).

3) Place oil that is anointed (using prayer cloths) on the part of the body that is in need of healing (James 5:14-16). You can be healed through prayer and by other believers praying for you and also through communion (The Lord’s Supper.)

In these articles, I will focus mainly on taking God’s word as you would take medicine to restore your health. Pray the scriptures will rid the body of unwanted ailments. Many of the scriptures will be included with the articles, or I will reference where they can be found in your Bible.

God gives you the solution in Proverbs 4:20-22 for life and health: “My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them, and heal and medicine to all their flesh.”

Do not forget that God is the one doing the healing. “I am The Lord who heals,” Exodus 15:26. This is a direct quote from God. Believe what He says and receive your healing. Because of the sacrifice of Jesus to redeem us, healing is already yours. Believe this and receive your healing.
