Let go and let God handle it with prayer

This is a prayer that I have written to help me stay in the shadow of the Almighty God. I have personalized it in the present tense because I don’t want to forget just how faithful God is to me and my family. I will always put my trust in Him and when negative situations come into my life, I know who to go to and where to go. I will not let any situation cause me to stress or be worried. I know that God is the foundation of my life, and I hope that He is your foundation too. You can pray this also when you find yourself worried or afraid:

“Lord, I’m resting in You and in the finished works of Jesus and what He has accomplished for me on the cross. I am too blessed to be stressed, or to let any situation cause me to worry. I know that all is well and that You have already taken care of the situation for me [if you have a ‘situation,’ name it, or any concerns]. I know that the enemy is trying to get my mind off You and Your promise and to focus on my problem. I will focus on Your promise instead of focusing on this situation. Lord, You are my refuge and my fortress, and it’s in You I put my total trust. I will not fear, for my heart is steadfast trusting in You. My faith is strong because I know, Lord, that You are faithful. Your faithfulness is my shield. It is written in Philippians 4:19 that You, Lord, shall supply all of my needs. I thank you for supplying what I need. In Jesus name, Amen.”

Many times we try to fix things on our own needs and forget that God is our helper. He wants us to come to Him and to seek His wisdom and guidance. Everything that we may experience, including sickness, Jesus has already dealt with it. God has already supplied everything we need to live life successfully. Everything that we need can be found in His word (the Bible). The Bible is Gods’ living word. It is alive and active.

In order to be successful, we have to go to Him, and believe that He will supply all of our needs. We have to trust and obey and do what the word says. I can testify that the word of God works, but you have to get into it, read it, believe what it says, and receive it with thanksgiving in order to see it work in your life. Receive what God has for you. Surrender your life to him. He has an open invitation for you now. Don’t be like the people that were invited to the banquet (read Matthew 22:1-12). They each had an excuse of why they could not come.

Gods’ Kingdom is already here. He’s inviting all of us to come now. Don’t wait or find an excuse. Please make room for God. Make room for Him today. He’s knocking at the door of your heart. Please let Him in. Today is your day to live an abundant life through Christ Jesus.
