The year begins with many of the same issues as 2021. It’s no different than any other year’s end and new beginning. People say that the new year will start anew. In 2022 the issues that remain unresolved will continue to be addressed.
Rev. Enoch Fuzz, pastor of Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church, continues on his journey with stage four lung cancer. He continues to lead in this new year with his special projects for the community. He’s ready to tackle the concerns of the city, and the needs of individuals through the OneNashville breakfast meetings. This week will feature Police Chief John Drake and Criminal Court Clerk Judge Mark Fishburn who will receive the Music City Gold Record awards. During that meeting, dialog will continue facing some of the most important issues regarding Nashville.
OneNashville was founded by Rev. Fuzz approximately four years ago as a vehicle to share information between a variety of organizations in the city and among leading officials. The meetings are attended by the top 100 leaders, along with members of the Mayor’s Office, district attorney general judges and most elected officials. OneNashville meets for breakfast every other Saturday at 8:01 am.
These meetings continue under Rev. Fuzz’s leadership, even during his illness and continuing amazing recovery. He is a prime example of his slogan for the New Year in 2022: ‘Everything is gonna be alright. It’s gonna be alright.’ He will preach his first sermon of 2022, ‘God is in Control,’ Sunday morning, January 9, at 11 am.
