There are lots to be said about opioids. Opioids are very useful as they eliminate pain during a time of desperation in the event of an ailment caused by disease. An opioid drug is one of the first prescriptions made in order to combat the issue of a patient’s pain, e.g., the myriad of diseases such as the stage four lung cancer Rev. Enoch Fuzz has been faced with over the past two years. The medications are expected to relieve pain, but not expected to cause pain as it does when one faces trying to stop the use of the prescription.
We have previously looked at the addiction to opioids and two methods of handling the addiction spiritually and medically. We briefly mentioned the use of a natural method.
Natural addiction detoxing includes the use of a holistic approach through the use of ‘natural’ herbs grown from the earth. One such natural herb is Kratom, a plant grown originally in South East Asia, known as a member of the coffee family. Kratom often has a negative stigma but has been tested and identified as a helpful alternative to the elimination of pain without the same effects as addictive drugs. However, although there have been numerous studies on the effects of Kratom by credited medical students, it has not been approved by the FDA (Federal Drug Administration). Yet it is legally sold in many of the current CBD and vape stores.
The effects of using Kratom in order to fight opioid addiction has been found to be effective. It has been reported to have positive outcomes for those who chose to use Kratom in lieu of an opioid to fight pain in medical situations. It is reported to have the ability to stop pain for some people who suffered a debilitating disease and did not want to use opioids for fear of becoming addicted.
It must be noted that caution is necessary because people sometimes trust all carriers of Kratom and other helpful natural herbs. It is most safely effective in its purest form. The herbs should be tested for foreign contaminants to maintain a safe quality. When that criteria is met, it is indeed “an amazing alternative to opioids,” said Dr. Jeff Hargis. One can learn of the various types of Kratom by visiting the website for East West Herbal.
We will continue to provide information because there is not only lots to be said about opioids, but a lot to be said about relieving people of addiction and relieving people of pain naturally. Readers are encouraged to contact Dr. Jeff or visit the store, East-West Herbal, 3028 Gallatin Pike, Nashville.
Whole families are affected when one member is affected by addiction. Therefore, there is an ‘open invitation’ for everyone to learn more about addictions and how to handle them through all means available.
As a person living with and surviving stage four lung cancer, Rev. Enoch Fuzz, pastor of Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church, also has a lot to say about pain, opioids, and the importance of releasing the addiction. Continue to pray on his behalf.
Rev. Fuzz continues to pray for each of you and “the whole wide world,” because you are an important part of his journey. Also, check out his Facebook site as he gives praise to God through words, songs, and photos. You will be blessed. Thanks for reading and sharing ‘Cancer: My Journey in Time’ each week.
