‘Cancer: My Journey in Time’ (part 107)

Rev. Enoch Fuzz

The world is exhausted with the difficulties that have arisen from the pandemic we continue to live with. There have been many changes that affect everyday living as we know it. There’s not enough help and customer service is essentially non-existent in most instances. But we continue to move about making changes as needed in homes, on jobs, at churches, at meetings, and all facets of life. Just as the seasons change in a series of 12 months, so shall this ‘season’ change as we continue to make adjustments to accommodate new circumstances.

Rev. Enoch Fuzz, the pastor of Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church, has had a barrage of ‘seasons’ during his journey with stage four lung cancer in the midst of this pandemic that has also had a chain of devastating outbreaks stemming from COVID-19.

Rev. Fuzz has suffered one condition after another since his diagnosis of cancer in 2020. And yet he continues to move forward, living life as he had previously—but with adjustments according to the situation as it is presented. “I’m gonna be okay,” said Rev. Fuzz, “just have several health issues but God’s gonna help me. I have blockages in both legs and blood clots in both arms plus difficult breathing issues. But, I’m gonna be okay. I acknowledge that I am blessed beyond measure. I have an amazing support system of family, church, friends, and the community at large. I have access to a fantastic team of medical professionals. And I have food, clothes, and shelter—no right to complain. I don’t believe He brought me this far to leave me. I do get tired, but I’m also inspired.”

Rev. Fuzz shares his journey so that others may be inspired also. It may be difficult for him to keep testing his ability to keep pushing forward, yet he does—knowing that the Bible says not to “grow weary in well-doing.”

While you continue to pray for Rev. Fuzz and his journey, pray for your individual journeys as well. Rev. Fuzz is always in continuous prayer for you and this world. Check out his Facebook site as he gives praise through God’s word, songs, and pictures. You will be blessed. Thanks for reading and sharing ‘Cancer: My Journey in Time’ each week. May it be a blessing to you.
