‘Cancer: My Journey in Time’ (part 109)

Rev. Enoch Fuzz

During his journey, you may have learned a lot about Rev. Enoch Fuzz, pastor of Corinthian Baptist Church and his dedication to community issues, celebrations, commendations, civic, social and personal accommodations, et al. He is also just as dedicated to sharing the ‘good news’ since his challenges with stage four lung cancer. Sometimes his challenges are more severe than at others, e.g., he has recently had to revisit the continuous use of his oxygen while also healing from a surgery on his vocal cords.

Each Wednesday at noon, the public is invited to his church, 819 33rd Avenue North for a mid-week, mid-day meditation. Rev. Fuzz occasionally delivers the ‘word,’ while he often diligently seeks a variety of guest speakers to bring forth a word to those in attendance. Over the past few months of the summer, he has invited a plethora of different speakers, including: Ella Clay, First Historic Church; Rev. Kent Anderson; Rev. Dr. Brodie Johnson, Memphis, Tenn.; Rev. Geneva Hall; Rev. Joe King; Bishop James A. Jennings, Detroit, Mich.; Rev. Adric Lane, Greater Revelation; along with several others. Most recently, this past Wednesday, Rev. Viggie Henderson spoke. The Wednesday noon worship service is also live streamed on You Tube at CorinthianBaptist ChurchNashville.

This is one example of Rev. Fuzz’s desire to continue to go forth with the word of God so that people know the importance of sharing God’s word and the power of prayer.

Rev. Fuzz is keenly aware of his limitations as he heals from this diagnosis of cancer, but he continues to go forward—just as the world continues to move forward, making adjustments and doing things differently due to the COVID-19 pandemic that has lasted since 2020. While his body is healing, Rev. Fuzz is still experiencing a variety of ailments. Nevertheless, he has the unwavering belief that he will be healed with prayers and supplications to God’s grace and mercy.

As his friends and family of confessed believers pray, those prayers are a sign of unwavering belief in his healing also. Rev. Fuzz goes forth in sharing the word and invites all readers to share in fellowship for a mid-week service that may help some to make it on through to Sunday’s morning worship service. Count it all joy as you will be blessed.

While you continue to pray for Rev. Fuzz and his journey, pray for your individual journeys as well. There is power in prayer. Rev. Fuzz is always in continuous prayer for you and this world. Check out his Facebook site as he gives praise through God’s word, songs and pictures. Sometimes you may see a flyer for the upcoming speaker for the Wednesday services. You will be blessed. Thanks for reading and sharing Cancer: My Journey in Time each week. May it be a blessing to you.
