Nashville will host two amazing art shows, this month and in January. One is free and local; the other is a national event you should get your tickets for now.

The Black Art Market: Art Exhibition BGM Edition will be an evening to remember. Come shop, connect, and celebrate with talented local artists. There will be music, live performances, Art, cash bar, and more. The most anticipated aspects of this event are seeing how different each artist’s painting style conveys their mission and seeing how each guest is dressed to express.

Join The Black Art Market on Sunday, December 18, 2022, from 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM CST at VanLeer Studios, for an evening of black excellence as they host the 2022 Art Exhibition: Black Girl Magic Edition in Nashville, TN. The mission for this event is to empower all shades, roles, and diversity of the black women through visual arts. Free Admission.

Van Leer Studios is a multi-purpose art space located at 914 Buchanan Street, Nashville, TN 37208 in the Buchanan Arts District in Nashville, TN.  The event features music by Dj Madmauves Playlist; a Bar with all local black owned brands of whiskey, bourbon, tequila, and spirits; art showcase from local artists; live performance & spoken word; creative IG worthy photobooth; and light hors d’oeuvres with vegetarian options. Coming January 22, 2023 from 3:00 pm – 9:00 pm, A Spectacular Black Girl Art Show is a national exhibition experience celebrating black women artists using various forms of media. is a bi-annual art exhibit displaying the work of all black female artists using varying forms of media. This show is aimed toward celebrating black women, the strength in their diversity, and the power in our unity.

The Curator is Joshua Dingle, age 34 from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who is a curator, communicator and founder of A Marvelous Black Boy Art Show, A Spectacular Black Girl Art Show, and Feels ATL. In September 2019, A Spectacular Black Girl Art Show was launched in Atlanta, GA with a mission to create unique opportunities for aspiring African American visual artists and artisans. Since then, the show has created exposure for more than 600 artists in 12 cities across the U.S.

After realizing the disproportionate representation of black artists in the marketplace, he set out to change that narrative by creating A Spectacular Black Girl Art Show and A Marvelous Black Boy Art Show in Atlanta, GA.

Since 2019, Joshua Dingle has curated over 40 exhibitions featuring over 400 local artists that generated over $650k in art sales.
