Summer Fandom Convention Season heating up

This weekend, the Summer Convention Season kicks off with The Vampire Diaries and The Originals Official Reunion Convention, Friday, May 19 – Sunday, May 21 at the Sheraton Music City Nashville Hotel, by Creation Entertainment. Convention activities usually start around 10:00 a.m. but may begin earlier depending on schedules. Stage programming also usually ends around 6:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. and some autograph sessions begin after stage programming is complete for the day. This can run until 10:00 p.m. 

All guests and scheduling are tentative and subject to change. Next, the ICCCon Nashville is back Friday, May 26th – Sunday, May 28th at the Farm Bureau Convention Center (formerly known as Wilson County Expo), Lebanon, TN 37087. The ICCC (Imperial Commissary Collectors Convention) is a sci-fi fan and collecting convention with vintage and modern toys and collectibles; stars from our generation’s greatest film and TV franchises; hundreds of vendors; dozens of guest stars from franchises like Star Wars, Harry Potter, Power Rangers, Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones and more; movie props; cosplayers; droid builders; comic books; video game tournaments; fan groups; podcasters; artists; live music; and more.

Among the 30 or so announced guest are John Rhys-Davies, Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Ian McDiarmid, Mary Elizabeth McGlynn, Femi Taylor, Royce Johnson, and Carly King. Saturday, June 3 and Sunday, June 4, Nashville Comicon is a new Two Day Pop Culture Convention where fans get to geek out and celebrate their favorite fandoms with friends and family at the Nashville Fairgrounds. They’ve got Comic Creators, TV / Film Stars, Cosplayers, Anime Actors, Artists, Crafters, Authors, and more, featuring unique programming in the form of Panels, Gaming, and Contests.

Hours are Saturday: 10:30AM (VIP 10AM) – 6PM and Sunday: 11:30AM (VIP 11AM) – 4:30PM.
