“I, Paul, planted the seed, and Apollos watered it, but God is the one who gives the increase,” 1 Corinthians 3:6.
What we have with God has come to us from the His Spirit, because it is the Spirit that searches out all things—even the deep secrets of God. You have been give the Holy Spirit so you will know that what is given unto you is of God. You cannot have unlimited breakthrough without the Spirit [the very presence] of God. You cannot have a breakthrough until you have a break-out (to escape from the barriers of sin) with out the Holy Spirit. When the overwhelming odds of life come to defeat you, you must know that you are an overcomer through the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit. With this breakout you will have your breakthrough.
“In all these things, we are more than conquerors though Him [God] who loved us,” Romans 8:37.
This is why you don’t follow after other people. You must follow after God. At one point, you were like babies in Christ on the milk of the ‘word’—not the meat [solid food] of the word. At one point you were without the spirit, because one would say ‘I am of Paul’ and another would say ‘I am of Apollos’—not knowing that we are all sent to you by God to do His will and to help you grow in His word and be the very person [temple] that He has created you to be.
But now you know that you are God’s temple and God’s Spirit lives in you. For God’s temple is holy. The Spirit of God belong to you, you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God. Paul makes it clear that I am a spiritual servant of Christ as His apostle, and you are His Spiritual church [His Kingdom]. This is your life for your breakthrough. Now whatever you do, don’t become ungodly in character where its ‘all about you.’ Let not your focus be sexual sin [immorality], greed, robbery, abusing others, getting drunk, cheating people, or the worshipping of idols. You will not inherit God’s Kingdom.Don’t become like this world. Don’t allow this world to fool you; remember you are Spiritual. Those who sin sexually, worship idols, take part in adultery, those who sell their bodies, men who have sexual relations with other men, and women who have sexual relations with others women, those who steal, are greedy, lie about others, or prod people will not inherit the Kingdom of God. Put away from yourselves that wicked person, that disobedient person. Use the power and the wisdom that God has given you.
“The only temptation that has come to you is that which envy one has. But you can trust God. Get your breakthrough! God will not permit you to be tempted more than you can stand. But when you are tempted, God will also give you a way to escape so that you will be able to stand it,” 1 Corinthians 10:13-14.
