Throughout our 400 plus years in this country, African Americans have been programmed by their oppressors to devalue their own worth and not trust their brothers or sisters. They have been taught to seek their White oppressor’s affirmation and support. Psychologically and subliminally this mental subjugation is subscribed in the minds of many Blacks today, explaining why you find some Blacks committed to vociferously advocating for those who have historically oppressed Blacks and continue to do so.
It is treasonous for Blacks to emphatically and intentionally put down other Blacks. Doing so is to the delight of our oppressors. It literally dismisses African Americans who have historically done well, and causes continued oppression of all Blacks and people of color. Exonerating those who caused the darkness and blaming the victims for the darkness is the calculating scheme being used.
We are taught by our oppressors to buy into an idealistic world where everyone seeks to ‘love each other,’ i.e., we should forgive or forget the past sins of those who have mistreated us. Wow! That’s a great plan for manipulators who don’t believe this idea themselves, wanting others to practice this loving plan while they continue to manipulate Blacks for their own selfish reasons.
Our oppressors are outraged at the prospect of people becoming ‘woke’! That will expose their plan, and they might even be called out. People cannot comprehend the extent the oppressors of Blacks have gone to by negating the progress and acceptance of African Americans—even to the point of blaming Blacks for their own victimization.
One of the main ploys used by racist Whites is using Blacks as spokespersons advocating for Whites, voiding their involvement in the negative plight and exploitation of African Americans. These are basically handpicked, well to do, conservative, educated Blacks who are quick to expose the shortcomings of other Blacks and how we are our own worst enemies. These ‘Black-bashing Blacks’ are basically used as pawns to say things that if a White person voiced, would paint them as racists. Make no mistake, these Blacks are usually well rewarded monetarily or career wise for their service in lambasting and belittling other Blacks.
Blacks as a whole, know about their shortcomings, which have been historically induced. We don’t need such compromised Blacks telling us how to do better, and then literally negating White oppressors. Their complicity creates our nightmares.
These Blacks (by berating and degrading other Blacks) would be better served by educating African Americans and their supporters in the treacherous plots and plans orchestrated and implemented by racist Whites to keep Blacks mentally and physically subjugated.
All too often, you find some conservative Black Republicans who have the unmitigated gall to say that they don’t believe this country is racist. What bubble have they had the privilege of living in? While they may have personally lived in a privileged neighborhood and been sheltered from the sting of racism, they should not be seen as spoke persons for the multitude of African Americans dripping in the sweat of crippling oppression. The exceptions to the rule don’t speak for the whole.
Conservative Black Republicans should not be judged for their right to choose a political party based on their economic and social status and personal views. But their condemnation of other Blacks who may not have been privy to their own opportunities and resources is inexcusable. Only these trash-baiting Blacks know their true motives, whether it be naiveté or for personal gain. Blacks trashing other Blacks and exonerating Whites in their subjugation and involvement in the dehumanizing of Blacks is nothing short of treasonous.
Betrayal of Blacks by Blacks can be found in each political party whether Democratic or Republican, if the truth be told. So there is enough blame to go around. But the deification of those oppressing us is not warranted. These Black-bashing conservative Blacks are simply mouthpieces for our White oppressors.
Knowing your history and doing your homework makes you less likely to be used as a puppet by those readily using you. Advocating for the best of what you might consider as two evils can be a slippery slope and should be taken seriously. Avoid being a spokesperson claiming racism doesn’t exist, and that equal opportunity is available for all. The plight of how African Americana should fare in this country has been well thought out by their oppressors.
Make no mistake, it has never been their plan to open doors of opportunity for all Blacks. Some of these conservative Black Republicans, hard on other Blacks, may deceive themselves and honestly believe that racism doesn’t exist and they made it by their own merits. They claim they did not depend on affirmative action or federal policies demanding and executing fair nondiscriminatory practices. One would think that instead of lambasting other Blacks, these conservative Republican Blacks would be supporting or advocating legislation to equal the playing field.
I would think that some of these Black Republican pundits so eager to down other Blacks would take the time to learn the history of Blacks in this country, and instead of lambasting or criticizing other Blacks, they should encourage them to learn the complicity of their oppressors in the initiation of all their problems. Thus, we as Blacks could unite as a group, working together in eradicating the problems plaguing us. Let’s stop being pawns in a chess game and learn the game so we will be in a better position to counter the moves of those who continuously seek to oppress us.
