Braxton Haley scored three touchdowns and Randy Hippeard led the offense with seven touchdown passes for the Nashville Kats, as they upset the Orlando Predators, 62-32, in the first round of the AFL Playoffs on Friday evening at the Kia Center in Orlando.
With the win, the Kats head back to Billings, Montana for a matchup with the Outlaws this Saturday evening, July 13, in the AFL Semifinals. You can see it live on CBS Sports Network. Kickoff is set for 9 p.m. CT and you can listen in on 102.5 FM and/or 106.3 FM The Game.
In their previous meeting on June 8, Nashville defeated Billings, 57-54, after Hippeard found Marquise Irvin with one-second remaining.
The Salina Liberty advanced also, and will play at the Albany Firebirds on Saturday earlier in the day, with a 1:30 p.m. start.
Saturday’s winners will meet in ArenaBowl XXXIII in East Rutherford, NJ, on Friday, July 19th 2024 at 4:30 pm CDT.
