Expressions of faith

Paul warns against false teaching and superficial faith, urging believers to seek true transformation in Christ. He emphasizes salvation, spiritual maturity, and discerning God's truth over popular, misguided teachings.

Bishop-Elect Dr. Monterey D. Lee, Sr.

“I say this so that no one can fool you by arguments that seem good, but are false. Though I am absent from you in the body, my heart is with you, and I am happy to see your good lives and your strong faith in Christ. And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words,” Colossians 2:4-5.

The people went to church according to the customs, but they were not associated as the church. They would put a time limit on God and were not interested in all of the antics [behaviors] of the Christian [life] church. We don’t need all that word; we don’t need a Bible studying meditate; we don’t need a time for prayer; or to worship in the temple for more then one hour for holy service and commitment unto God. The  people had what they considered godliness and would say, “We have what we need and we are good.” This is why the false teachers were in agreement with the people and not the word of God. Give the people what they want, not what they need. Let’s have the same belief, thought, school of thinking, and mind as the people, because they are taking good care of us. We are well-off in our living.” Paul was in Ephesus teaching the word of God that all mankind must take on a transformation and be renewed back to the Father through the Son. He told them they were luke-warm in their commitment to God. He said,  ‘This is why I am making sure that this letter is passed on to you. It’s not your great wealth that has you trapped in your thinking or your belief  that the way you now think will give you new life. You need new life in Christ, the plan of salvation. He will save you from your sins. This is why I’m here to encourage you to seek Christ.’

Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on His glorious throne, you who have followed Me [Jesus] will also sit on 12 thrones judging the 12 tribes of Israel. Stop and look at the problem. I, [Paul] the apostle, was combating [fighting, at battle with] you, so that you become the church full of knowledge and understanding of Christ. So you will not become lost with the teaching of heresy the false teaching that is contrary against Biblical doctrine. If you can’t see the full proof in the gospel of Jesus Christ, in the scriptures, the holy word of God, it’s heresy—a teaching that is not in alignment with the word of God. Remember you have this knowledge that was given to you by God, so no one will fool you as one uninformed and unknowledgeable to the truth of the real word of God. At one point, this knowledge was hidden from you because of your ways and thoughts of your old life. You were so ungodly, but now you are in Him [Christ] and the secrets of God have been revealed unto you as you now live in your new life. You now have Christ, the real plan of salvation. He is God’s plan for your life as you grow and become mature and complete in Christ. God Himself now dwells in your bodies as you live each day in Him. I am a distance from you, but I will fight for your salvation in Christ Jesus to help ensure your new life in Him. No one will beguile [entice] you into error. You are in Christ. No one will fool you. You belong to God; you are born-again, and you have this new life in Him. No more enticing words to take you off course. You are in Christ who is the treasure of your wisdom.”
