LEBANON, Tenn. – The Wilson County–Tennessee State Fair is set to return August 14–23, bringing 10 days of family-friendly entertainment, agricultural showcases, and new attractions to the James E. Ward Agricultural Center in Lebanon.

Billed as one of the state’s most popular summer events, the fair draws visitors from across Tennessee with its mix of livestock shows, live music, carnival rides, competitions, and food. This year’s theme, ‘Goin’ Hog Wild and Bacon Memories,’ blends classic fair traditions with new experiences.

In recognition of the upcoming 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 2026, this year’s fair will feature patriotic tributes that highlight key milestones in American history and honor the contributions of past generations.

The fair will open with a ceremony on Thursday, August 14, at 6 pm in front of the Made in Tennessee Building. A parade is scheduled to follow at 7 pm. Tickets are available online at <wilsoncountytnstatefair.com> and at the fair office. Advance purchases offer discounted pricing, with season passes and ‘Mega Tickets’ available through local banks and online until August 13.

New policies have been announced for ride access. Armbands can be used on all days except Saturdays, when only individual ride tickets will be sold onsite. However, armbands included with Mega Tickets (available in advance) will still be honored on Saturdays. Season tickets, which allow entry all 10 days, are priced at $45, while Mega Tickets, which include admission and a ride armband for one day, are $30. Daily admission is $12 online in advance and $15 once the fair opens.

In addition to more than 150 livestock shows and 60 midway rides, this year’s fair will feature 16 stages of entertainment, over 100 vendors, and more than 150 scheduled events and activities. Among the new attractions for 2025 is the Tennessee Lift Sky Ride, which offers a scenic view over the fairgrounds.

Fairgoers can also explore the revamped Ag Venture Experience, an interactive area that combines agricultural education with family-friendly activities. New competitions have been added to the schedule, including the Pig Tail Hair Competition, The Great Bacon Toss, and a Pig Callin’ Contest. Food lovers can look forward to the inaugural Taste of the Fair Food Competition, where concession vendors will compete for the title of ‘Best Fair Food.’

Evenings will feature a rotating lineup of events, including motorsports, live music, agriculture demos, and the return of fan-favorite acts such as hypnotist Richard Barker and K9’s in Flight. Historic Fiddlers Grove will once again offer demonstrations that connect visitors to Tennessee’s rural heritage.

Participants of all skill levels are encouraged to enter this year’s contests, with categories open to both Wilson County and statewide residents. Opportunities include baking, crafts, gardening, and more. Entry information is available on the fair’s website.

With a wide range of attractions designed to appeal to all ages, organizers expect strong attendance again this year. For more information, daily schedules, and updates, visit <wilsoncountytnstatefair.com> or follow the fair’s social media accounts.
