Expressions of faith: Revelation knowledge

In “Expressions of faith: Revelation knowledge,” Bishop-Elect Dr. Monterey D. Lee Sr. urges believers to be honest with God, shift from merely consuming to producing for His Kingdom, and trust Him to restore and develop them through difficult seasons by relying on His revelation knowledge.

Honesty with God is important in developing our faith and relationship with Him. We are not going to grow in our faith in the Lord if we are not honest with our thoughts and feelings before God. He wants you to come to Him the way you are: mad, upset, not knowing, and with a heavy heart. ‘Just come to Me,’ says the Lord.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest,” Matthew 11:28.

God said: “Look and be amazed at what is happening among the nations! Even if you were told, you will never believe what’s taking place now. I am sending the Babylonians, they are cruel marching across the land, conquering cities and towns. Their only laws and rules are the ones they make up. Their troops are faster than leopards, wolves hunting at sunset, and swifter than hungry eagles swooping down to destroy you. They gather captives like handfuls of sand. They make fun of your rulers, building dirt mounds so they can capture cities. They are sinful people who worship their own strength,”  Habbakuk 1:5-11.

This is why we need to shift—a shift in position, our thinking, our direction, and in our obedience.

If we do not come back to God with our heart and walk by faith, there will be no restoration and no restoring of life.

“Holy, Lord God, mighty rock, you are eternal, and we are safe from death. But you are using the Babylonians to judge and punish others. But you can’t stand sin or wrong. So why do you sit by in silence while they gobble down people? The people you put on this earth are happy for they have the choice of food. He will keep destroying nations without showing mercy,” Habbakuk 1:12-13.

If you trust God, He will restore you in the midst of it all. If you trust God and live right, He will realign you. He will move you from being consumers to producers.

Consumers will purchase goods and services from the wrong sources. Then they are thinking like them and doing what they are doing: sin and wrong. For we have become consumed by violence, terrible injustice, lawlessness, crime, and cruelty. So we have become like them and not the way God wants us to be, as producers.

Producers are a people that make things happen. They grow and supply goods. We must become the builders, makers, and growers for the Kingdom of God with holy living.

As the people of God, we must stop oppressing each other and start producing with each other. When we live for God He will change this life. God is in the business of developing people. God will do whatever He has to do to get your attention.  Whatever He has to do to keep you focused, He will do. Whatever God has to do to have you to live right, He will.

God has us in a holding zone, so we can stop looking and start living. Sometimes He must make things uncomfortable in order to get your attention.

God has made it uncomfortable for us, so we can live again. He makes situations uncomfortable for your growth, renewal, stretching, and creation. He gives us difficult situations so we will look to Him and Him only.

Take on the ‘revelation of knowledge’ from God to show we are nothing without Him. He provides our revelations and we must depend on Him through our good and bad days. God wants us, and we need Him to develop as His children. Allow God to have your attention so you can be developed through His revelation of knowledge.
