The leg lamp will be dimming for 2014 as the Nashville Repertory Theatre’s run of A Christmas Story ends on December 21.

Tickets are still available for December 19-21, but they are going quickly! Reserve your seats today!

Adapted by Phillip Grecian from the motion picture by Jean Shepherd, Leigh Brown, and Bob Clark, A Christmas Story is Shepherd’s memoir of growing up in the Midwest in the 1940s. It follows nine-year-old Ralphie Parker in his unflappable campaign to get Santa (or anyone else) to give him a “legendary official Red Ryder carbine-action 200 shot range-model air rifle.”

Ralphie pleads his case before his mother, his teacher, and even Santa Claus himself at Goldblatt’s Department Store. The consistent response: “You’ll shoot your eye out.” This irresistible piece of Americana is guaranteed to warm the heart and tickle the funny bone.

The content of the show is appropriate for all audiences. However, the length of the production may be inappropriate for very young audiences.

A Christmas Story continues through December 21 at the Johnson Theatre, TPAC, 505 Deaderick St., Nashville, Tenn. 37219. Purchase tickets by phone at: 615-782-4040.
