Kappa Alpha Psi hosts 3rd Annual Gospel Explosion

The Nashville Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity’s Guide Right Foundation will end the weekend of events with a Gospel Explosion at Gordon Memorial United Methodist Church, 2334 Herman Street in Nashville.
“We look forward to sharing this chapter’s 3rd spectacular musical event with the public,” said Kappa gospel explosion committee members.

Participants for this event will be the Reverend Lawrence Thomison, The Greater St, John Male Chorus, Samson White and the New Vision Singers, Payne Chapel AME Male Chorus, The Tennessee State University’s Gospel Choir and The Agape’ Singers of Clark Church.

The Gospel Explosion will follow the Chapter’s annual Scholarship Achievement Luncheon, to be held on April 18th at the Millennium Maxwell House Hotel. Mark Gwyn, State of Tennessee TBI Director, will be the guest speaker.

The Foundation’s Scholarship efforts provide continuing financial assistance. opportunity advancement, personal guidance and positive character development skills for young men in middle and high schools.
The Foundation, which supports these educational advancement is exceedingly involved in community based programs such as:
• Pencil Partner– Ross Elementary School
• Piney Wood Boarding School
• Tutorial Programs– held within Metro School System
• Kappa Scholarships–over $96,000.00 awarded
• Mentoring Program –for middle and high school Students.
