Expressions of faith

Commit your work and life to the Lord. Live in truth, righteousness, and obedience to God, rejecting the world's system for God's order.

Bishop-Elect Dr. Monterey D. Lee, Sr.

“Paul stayed there for a year and a half, teaching God’s word to all the people about the Kingdom of God,” Acts 18:11.

The work of the Kingdom of God takes dedication and commitment to God from all humanity. It’s the fulfillment of God’s will for your life to advance the Kingdom of God in the earth. In teaching the word of God, sometimes we can feel alone or isolated, especially when we see wickedness all around us as we are being persecuted for our faith in Him. In Athens, Paul preached the gospel and established a church in Corinth, he also wrote two letters to the believers in Thessalonica, having the people looking to the Kingdom of God and not the kingdom of man.

The kingdom of man is the fulfillment of worldly pleasures that only feeds your selfish impulse as you long for a life style that does not respect or desire God. It’s a life of earthly desires like pride, greed, deceit, image, selfishness, achievements, to be admired, possessions, ego, and much more. It’s all about self, what I have, what I do, how I live, and where I work. This is the kingdom of man.

The Kingdom of God (or the Kingdom of Heaven) is the spiritual realm over which God reigns as King, and the fulfillment of God’s will in mankind. It’s a lifestyle of righteousness. It’s to live for God as the children of obedience. It’s to make disciples, and to live in truth.

“It’s the work of salvation as you commit your work and life to the Lord,” Proverbs 16:3.

It’s giving your all to God as a saved person in the presence of the Savior. When you are dedicated to the Kingdom of God and not the kingdom of man, you become the kingdom man for the Kingdom of God.

The Kingdom of God is for someone who submits to the rule of God completely. It’s obeying God above all else. It’s rejecting the world’s system for God’s order. It’s being under the Lordship of God in every area of your life.

Paul lived his life as a kingdom man, totally dedicated to the gospel of Jesus Christ. In the synagogue he was teaching the scriptures and living the life that compelled others to receive Christ and be baptized. Crispus, a Jew, and the chief ruler of the synagogue, believed on Jesus Christ, as the Son of God who came to earth as a human and died to remove the sin of mankind. The resurrection of Jesus Christ proves that God accepted the sacrifice of Christ and that His life will reconcile mankind back to God. This is why Crispus and all his house (all that lived with him) believed in the Lord and many others in Corinth also listened to the word. Paul was in the synagogue with the believers and many were baptized. All become dedicated to God through the gospel of Jesus Christ and lived a new life. This is a fresh start or new lease on life that is made possible through Him.
