Nashville Cable, Tennessee’s foremost network of diverse professionals committed to advancing women in leadership, will honor women and organizations breaking down barriers and driving diversity, equity and inclusion at its 2024 Power of Inclusion Awards and Board Walk of Fame Luncheon on Wednesday, November 13, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. CST at Music City Center, 201 Rep. John Lewis Way South, Nashville. The Keynote Speaker is award-winning author, educator and producer, Dr. Ilyasah Shabazz.
“Nashville Cable was born out of a need to challenge exclusion, and we are proud to celebrate those who are driving meaningful change in leadership,” said Dr. Contrecia Tharpe, president-elect of Nashville Cable. “As we approach our 2024 Power of Inclusion Awards and Board Walk of Fame Luncheon, I am reminded of the incredible strides we’ve made in the last 40 years to empower women in leadership and encourage diversity among more industries of work.”

The Board Walk of Fame induction celebrates corporate leaders – who have acted on the evidence that more women on boards and in senior leadership positions lead to improved financial results and corporate vitality – with an induction into Cable’s Corporate Board Hall of Fame. Studies show that, while the percentage of female directors is improving, Tennessee continues to rank among the lowest states for representation of women on corporate boards. More champions are needed to increase the number of women in leadership positions and on boards. Cable strives to show the business community in Tennessee and beyond the availability of qualified women and the value women bring to corporate boards.
Nashville Cable is Tennessee’s largest and most established network of diverse professionals dedicated
to advancing women professionally. The organization’s mission of “Connecting Women and
Opportunity” drives its commitment to fostering gender diversity and inclusivity in leadership roles.
Cable works to create impactful connections, build long-lasting relationships, promote opportunities for business and professional women in the Nashville community, and develop and maintain a standard of inclusivity and diversity. The CABLE Foundation is a 501(c)3 Corporation, for fundraising purposes. The CABLE Foundation also serves as the umbrella for the Nashville ATHENA Awards Program.
