Kennie Playhouse Theatre invites your youth to experience KKYSAC. For the youth, the KPT KKYSAC experience builds them in areas of: Actors, Set Designers, Lighting & Sound Techs, Stage Managers, Costume Designers, and much more. This is an exciting time to play in the world of theatre. This camp has three main focuses: Acting – Fitness – Nutrition. Camp takes place Monday, June 1st – Sunday, June 28th, Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 4 PM, at 2021 Herman St., Nashville, TN 37208.

Why Acting Camp? According to research by the Educational Theatre Association: 95% of school administrators believe that theatre experiences improve students overall academic skills. Training in acting classes improves language and memory skills. High poverty students with sustained involvement in theatre show substantial improvement in reading proficiency, gains in self-concept and motivation, and higher levels of empathy for others. 98% of school administrators believe that theatre programs strengthen students’ critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and leadership skills.

KKYSAC, June 1–28, 2026, is a fun, enriching experience designed for youth ages 8–18 to grow in confidence, creativity, and character. At KKYSAC, campers don’t just learn acting — they discover their voice. Your child will receive hands-on training in stage and film acting, while also engaging in fitness and nutrition activities that promote healthy bodies and focused minds. Every day is intentionally designed to nurture the whole child — mind, body, and spirit.

The excitement culminates in a week-long live performance at the We Up Youth Theatre Festival, June 22 – June 28, a week – long performance of youth plays with a special movie premiere of a youth led, youth casted film. This unforgettable experience builds teamwork, discipline, leadership, and self-esteem, an extraordinary opportunity for young performers to engage in hands-on workshops led by seasoned industry professionals, allowing them to showcase their talents both on and off the stage.
