“He will be like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither; and in whatever he does, he will prosper,” Psalms 1:3.
The image of a man’s development and full moral bearing in life is like a tree bearing good fruit. This is the spiritual growth of sons and daughters of God, demonstrating the moral significance of their lives. There is a moral purpose in your aspiration for a new life. The life of a righteous person is like a tree that produces fruit. In your new ‘true’ life, you will see yourself moving into your best life ever.
‘He shall be like a tree planted.’ This is the full proof of the blessings of a good man and woman in God who meditates on the law of God. That meditation is the grace of God—and the virtues of the righteousness of God, which is the strength that comes in the right season.
When you are planted by the streams of water that give fruit, the fruit’s yield is in its season. This blessing is not short or temporary in your season. God gives you what you need in the right season. This is God’s success. Success is also shown in the respect that God gives you—trusting that you will be respectful of the works of God. You must constantly regard the word of God as a rule for your actions in the life that you live.
Be not like a wild tree, but a planted tree chosen by God to prosper and not be rooted up. Be like a tree planted by the rivers. If one river drys up, you have another river ready to flow for the next season of your life. If that one should dry up, you have another river ready to flow. This is the yielding of fruit in your season.
