Kysa Siovan, a Nashville native, was recently honored at the Southern Entertainment Awards Ceremony, which was held in Tunica, Mississippi on April 10. Kysa was honored with the DVD/Film of the Year for creating the soap opera, Stirred, Not Shaken, Nashville’s first and only urban soap opera.

The awards ceremony was the final event of a three-day weekend of events that provided workshops and seminars on film making, recordings, creating effective social media, and film screening. The Southern Entertainment Awards Show has been held for the past thirteen years.

Kysa is a graduate of Maplewood High School and Austin Peay State University, where she received a degree in communications. After receiving her communications degree, Kysa started her career as an actress and landed a small role in the movie, Hannah Montana: The Movie. Not getting any auditions for any challenging roles, she began toying with an idea of creating her own projects and posting them on the Internet. After a friend read a script she had written, she convinced Kysa to turn it into a TV show that could only be seen online.

In addition to writing and producing the show, Stirred, Not Shaken, she has also garnered acting credits with the Country Music Channel, Disney and TV One, and more recently The Dust Storm, which was a 2016 Nashville Film Festival selection.

Kysa has started her own film company, Cloverleaf Films and is currently working on her first short film. She can be reached via e-mail at clovermedia99@gmail.com.
