Twins hit Music City with combo

The Lucas Brothers

The Lucas Brothers (Keith and Kenny) are two of the freshest, most dynamic new faces on the comedy scene. In a very short time, the comedians, writers and actors have made a huge impact on comedy. A little over a week ago, the guys had their first hour stand-up special premiere on Netflix—only the hottest streaming service in the business at the moment. It was properly named ‘Lucas Bros: On Drugs.’ They were also recently seen as recurring characters on Season 1 of Netflix hit series Lady Dynamite starring fellow comic Maria Bamford.

Keith and Kenny are the creators of the animation series, Lucas Bros. Moving Co., which aired for one season on Fox’s Animation Domination Hi-Def block in 2014 and for a second season on FXX. The brothers voiced the series’ main characters, narrating hilarious, absurdist tales with, as The New York Times praised: “a disarming sweetness and a clever, stylized casualness.” They hosted the web series, The Super Late Morning Show on in 2013. The Brothers starred in two seasons of the weekly sketch comedy series, Friends of the People on TruTV, and they were featured in the FOX’s primetime series, The Grinder, starring Rob Lowe. They have also appeared in the blockbuster summer comedy feature film, 22 Jump Street, alongside Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum, and Ice Cube. These twins have definitely stayed busy, very busy.

The guys made their late night debut when they performed stand-up on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon in 2012. Since then, they’ve been favorites on the show with multiple appearances. They’re familiar faces on Comedy Central as well, with appearances on several of the network’s series’ including The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail and The High Court. They were named one of Variety’s 10 Comics to Watch of 2014, featured in Rolling Stone magazine’s ‘Hot List.’ Now they make their way to Zanies to put their permanent stamp on Music City.
