Regular readers of this column know that one of the things I dearly love is traveling to conventions, especially those with sci-fi, fantasy and comic book themes and characters. One big reason is the opportunity to meet and interact with the talented people who bring these to life. The first weekend in January will bring one of those amazing events to the middle Tennessee area and I encourage you to come and enjoy Heroes and Villains Fan Fest Nashville.
They are bringing superhero-packed goodness to the greater Nashville area on January 4 & 5, 2020, and they are looking forward to celebrating their third event in middle Tennessee with us. Heroes & Villains Fan Fest Nashville 2017 ran Saturday, July 8, and Sunday, July 9, 2017, at The Music City Center in downtown Nashville. The Music City Center also hosted Heroes & Villains’ return with Walker Stalker Fan Fest event Saturday and Sunday, May 12-13, 2018. In 2020, they will move to the Williamson County Center, in Franklin, TN.
The show runs for two days, Saturday 10:30 AM – 6:00 PM (w/VIP Entry at 9:00 AM) and Sunday 10:30AM – 5:00 PM (w/VIP Entry at 9:00 AM). General Admission includes admission to the event, general Q&A panels, and the opportunity to visit vendors and artists. They do not include autographs or photo ops with the guests. Autographs and photo ops with guests CAN be purchased separately by attendees of any badge level.
This year I am eagerly anticipating meeting some for the first time and checking in with other guests I have previously met.
Guests announced as of press time include (in no particular order): Eugene Clark and Emily Kinney, whom I have met, and many I have not, including Kenny Johnson, Kim Coates, Ryan Hurst, Juan Javier Carnenas, Michael Rowe, Steven Ogg, Johnathon Schaech, Kevin McNally, Kristen Renton, Dog the Bounty Hunter, and featured artist Rob Prior. Guests are subject to cancellation or schedule change, due to professional commitments. Although most guests are available for the duration of the event, due to limited availability some guests are only available for a single day. Appearance day(s) and changes will be posted on the fanfest webpage.
About my favorites: Emily Kinney starred on The Walking Dead as Beth Greene in 52 episodes. Eugene Clark has been in dozens of TV shows and films, a veteran of more than 100 television productions and 15 feature films, and he won a Gemini Award (Canadian Emmy) for Best Supporting Actor in a Dramatic Series for his work on the hit TV series Night Heat.
