When we rest in Jesus’ finished work we are relying, trusting and believing in what He has accomplished for us on the cross. Jesus bore all of our sins in His body (1 Peter 2:24). He became our sins. He exchanged His perfection for our imperfection. He sacrificed himself and died in our place. He sacrificed His blessings for our curses. He took the punishment that was due us and was beaten so that we could be healed (Isaiah 53:1-8).

Jesus took all of this willingly for us. He took away the punishment that we deserved once and for all (John 19:30). Jesus paid the ultimate sacrifice in order to draw us nearer to God. He redeemed us from the curse of sin and sickness and made us free to live a holy life. Jesus also defeated the power that Satan had over us. Jesus died as our substitute. We deserved death for our sins, but he forgave us and made us righteous, so that we could live a life that is pleasing to God.

Meditate and think about the following Scriptures about Jesus’ accomplishment for your healing when he suffered and died for us on the cross (Psalm 103:3). “He forgiveth all our iniquities, and healeth all our diseases,” Matthew 8:17. He took our infirmities Himself. He bore “…our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sin, should live unto righteousness; by whose stripes ye were healed,” 1 Peter 2:24.

Jesus has already healed you of all your diseases. Believe in what he has done for you. Receive what He has done for you. He paid for your healing with His body. Rest in what Jesus has accomplished for you. Believe and repeat the above scriptures out loud over your illness. Continue saying what God says, and you will see that what you have believed will manifest in your life.
