Trust like faith starts by simply making a decision to believe. An example is when you make the decision to make Jesus Lord of your life, you believe completely in Jesus as Lord of your life. You are saying: “Lord, I’m leaving everything up to you.” You believe that God will and can take care of you or any situation that may come into your life.
Proverbs 3:5-5 says to trust in the Lord with all your heart. You do not lean to your understandings. In all circumstances you acknowledge God and let him direct your path. You must remove self out of the way so God can work in your life. “Anyone who trusts in the Lord will never be put to shame,” Romans 10:11. “When you delight in the Lord, He gives you the desires of your heart,” Psalm 37:4.
Trust in God is leaving all of your concerns to Him. When you trust God you are saying, “I do not care what the situation looks like. I do not care or believe what my emotions are dictating. I’ve made up my mind that I’m going to trust you Lord and believe what you say in your word. I will make your word my final authority and rest in you Lord.”
When feelings of disappointment come, I will say out loud: “Lord, in this particular situation (name the situation), I choose to trust you because you are the God of impossibility. There is nothing that is too hard for you!” (Jeremiah 32:27).
“Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind and makes flesh his strength and whose heart turns away from the Lord. Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and whose trust is the Lord,” Jeremiah 17 :5-7. “Those who hope in the Lord will not be disappointed,” Isaiah 49:23. When you trust God, you are not doubting. You are relying totally that God will take care of your needs.
Press on. Do not give up, because you are an over-comer. You have overcome all obstacles against you because Jesus has already overcome. Remember that you are in Christ and Christ is in you and greater is He that is in you than he that’s in the world (1 John 4:4). You can do all things through Christ, which strengthens you. You are not using your strength but Christ’s strength to overcome and to win the victory in your situation. You already have the victory. Receive it in Jesus name. Keep trusting, believing and reading Gods’ word. Give God all the praise and all of the glory. I am agreeing with you that you are victorious and that you are an over-comer in the name of Jesus.
