Despite pandemic, Last Minute Toy Store continues

Daron Hall and the DCSO are once again hosting the Last Minute Toy Store at their Services Center located at 5117 Harding Place.

Despite the pandemic, the Last Minute Toy Store (LMTS) will still take place this year.  Registration for the event is already full.

Sheriff Daron Hall and the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office will once again host the event at the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office Services Center located at 5117 Harding Place.

The Last Minute Toy Store is a 501c(3) ministry of Highland Park Church and The United Methodist Churches. In addition to Sheriff Daron Hall and The Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, LMTS also partners with The United States Marine Reserve Toys for Tots, churches, business, civic groups, and individuals to provide gifts to Nashville families in need since 1993.

In 2019, LMTS broke all previous records providing Christmas to over 6,000 children.

“As the name suggests, LMTS is the last chance for families to receive toys who have not been helped by or missed the deadlines for Middle Tennessee’s other Christmas charities and organizations,” said event organizers.

“This year will be a little different in the way our guests receive their toys, but LMTS is still preparing to offer new, free toys, stocking stuffers, books, games, sporting goods, arts & crafts and more to as many children as possible at Christmas in 2020.”

Guests will pick up toys through a touchless drive through.

Due to the pandemic, LMTS has received fewer donations this year. Toy donations and $20 gift cards for teens are desperately needed and will be accepted at any DCSO location through December 19.
