The Tennessee Titans will hold a free practice, open to the general public, at Nissan Stadium on Monday, August 16 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm CDT. The event will give fans an exclusive opportunity to preview the 2021 season in-person ahead of the team’s first preseason home game on August 28. The open practice, presented by Pinnacle Financial Partners, will feature interactive games and giveaways, entertainment and interviews with players and coaches.
While the event is free, fans are required to claim a free ticket and show the digital ticket to gain entrance to Nissan Stadium. Gates open at 4:00 pm. The NFL has shifted its 20-game slate. Instead of four preseason and 16 regular season contests, there will only be three preseason tilts before a 17-game regular season. In previous years, the balance worked out to two home preseason and eight home regular season games per team. This year, the Titans will only have one home preseason game, but they will have nine regular season games in Nissan Stadium, one more at home that counts toward establishing playoff positioning.
After two road trip tilts, first to Atlanta on Friday, August 13 against the Falcons at 6 pm, and then to Tampa Bay against the Buccaneers on Saturday, August 21 at 6:30 pm, the team will host the Chicago Bears on Saturday, August 28 at 6:00 pm. All three games will be telecast live on WKRN NewsChannel 2 in Nashville.
The Titans open their 2021 campaign at home this year, hosting the Arizona Cardinals at 12 Noon on Sunday, September 12. The phenomenal Tennessee State University Aristocrat of Bands will be featured at the season opener, so get your tickets now, and plan to be at the stadium early!
Two very important games to watch for this season are their first road game, to Seattle, where they will be hosted by the Seahawks and my favorite NFC quarterback Russell Wilson. That game will be carried live on CBS with a 3:25 pm CDT kickoff. The other major highlight of the season is when the team hosts the Kansas City Chiefs at Nissan Stadium at 12 Noon on Sunday, October 24. Look for some special things to happen when my favorite AFC quarterback Patrick Mahomes drops back.
The Titans host the Buffalo Bills in a Monday Night Football contest on October 18 on ESPN at 7:15 p.m., and host the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday Night Football on NFL Network on December 23 at 7:20 p.m. The Titans also play at the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday Night Football on NBC on November 7 at 7:20 p.m. Other games this season include home contests with the Colts (9/26), Saints (11/14), Texans (11/21), Jaguars (12/12) and Dolphins (1/2/22), along with visits to the Jets (10/3), Colts (10/31), Texans (1/9/22), Steelers (12/19) and Patriots (11/28).
