Grab your fairy dust and get ready to fly, because Peter Pan lands at TPAC October 8 – 10. Escape to Neverland with this high-flying magical adventure the whole family will enjoy. Paul Vasterling’s adaptation of this beloved childhood tale features mermaids, an enchanting musical score, swashbuckling pirates, fairies in flight, and all your favorite characters like Tinker Bell, Tiger Lily, and The Boy Who Would Not Grow Up.
In Nashville Ballet’s production of Peter Pan, Mr. Vasterling has taken special care to remove the outdated cultural depictions and racist undertones present in the original text written by author J.M. Barrie, which are in no way representative of Nashville Ballet’s beliefs. Families are encouraged to use this as an opportunity to discuss the history of racism and the progress our society has and has yet to be made.
Paul Vasterling’s Peter Pan promises to inspire a sense of childlike wonder in audience members of all ages with live chamber music scored by Philip Feeney. Adaptation, Choreography, and Flight Choreography by Paul Vasterling with Live Chamber Music arranged by Philip Feeney; Music composed by Claude Debussy, Gabriel Fauré, Maurice Ravel, and Georges Bizet; and Costume Design by Campbell Baird.
The health and safety of audiences, dancers, and staff remains the number one priority and TPAC will safely welcome you back to the theater. To help ensure the health and safety of yourself and others, and in accordance with guidance by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), TPAC has added several measures to their current Health and Safety Protocols.
Effective October 1, 2021, ticket holders 12 years and older will be required to show proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 or a negative COVID-19 PCR or antigen test result within 2 days (48 hours) of the performance date for entry to ticketed events in TPAC venues. In addition, all audience members ages 6 years and older must wear a mask inside TPAC. TPAC highly recommends children ages 2-5 wear a mask when inside the venue as well. Peter Pan will be at TPAC’s Jackson Hall for four performances as follows: Friday, October 8, 2021 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 2 p.m.; Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 7 p.m.; and Sunday, October 10, 2021 at 2 p.m. Capacity has been limited for this performance and physically-distanced seating sections have been added and are available through the Nashville Ballet Box Office. Tickets start at just $35.
