“We speak the wisdom of God in a mystery [the hidden presence of God] the spiritual order of God. Even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: which none of you knew in this world. For had they know it [the hidden presence] they would have not crucified the Lord of glory,” 1 Corinthians 2:7-8.
Do you know that one of God’s mysteries in life is Jesus Christ? God said that ‘if you know Me you would know [the mystery of] Christ.’ Paul is making this known to the Corinthians—that Christ came to give you new life for your old sinful life. My passion for you is for you to be restored back to the Father, because this is the highlight of Christ’s existence. His crucifixion, death, burial, descent into hell, resurrection and Ascension was all for you. The apostle is making this known unto all that are hearing his voice
“No one has even seen this, and no one has ever heard about it. No one has ever imagined what God has prepared for those who love Him,” 1 Corinthians 2:9 (NCV).
“Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love Him,” 1 Corinthians 2:9 (KJV).
What things?
To establish His wisdom in us, God set forth the sacrifice of His own Son to pay for human sin—and to make it possible for those who believe and walk by faith to share in His glory forever. You will never know this with human wisdom. Human wisdom is based on what can be observed by the human senses and worked out from human logic and reasoning.
Focus on God, and give all of your attention to Him. Ask God: ‘What are your ways, your thoughts? Give your desires to Him. What He has prepared for you is greater then what your eyes see and what your ears hear.
You need the greatness of God’s wisdom, His infinite knowledge. Put God’s word to work for you, so you will know that His word is His knowledge. It is infinite. and it is perfect. The mysteries of God are His knowledge, wisdom and His understanding.
It’s not about a new house, car, or job—but the wisdom, knowledge and understanding of God. Paul says we are the ministers of Christ, and stewards to the mysteries of God. We are to be found faithful to God. This is required of us. For we are the chosen of God, as He gave you His spirit and His word so you could know Him. This is the time to know, people of God! Get you a word of knowledge; get you a word of wisdom; and get you some understanding.
As for myself, I do not care if I am judged by you or by any human court. I do not even judge myself.
I know of no wrong I have done, buy this does not make me right before the Lord. The Lord is the One who judges me (1 Corinthians 4:3-5).
So do not judge before the right time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light things that are now hidden in darkness, and will make known [manifest] the secret purposes of people’s hearts. Then God will praise each one of them.
Paul’s instructs the Christians in Corinth to get the wisdom of God and stop judging each other.
Paul said: ‘I’m the apostle and I cannot judge you, I cannot call you wrong or come against you. My prayer is that you are justified [made righteous by God]. God places His will in you and removes the sin [injustice], which is to a changed state. This is to become a changed person to the righteousness of God. This is a state of being just, right, and good with your new life in Christ. I can’t judge you for I don’t even judge myself. I know nothing by myself, because He that judges me is the Lord. Therefore, judge nothing before [the right] time until the Lord comes, who will bring to light the hidden things of darkness and manifest the counsels [expose the motives] of the hearts of mankind. There is a day coming that God will bring men’s secret sins into the light [into the open day].
Your judgment of my life is not to be depended upon. Regard your own faithfulness. What you think and see about me, only God can call it right or wrong.
