Expressions of Faith

Bishop-Elect Dr. Monterey D. Lee, Sr.

1 Corinthians 7:17
“As God has distributed to every man, as the Lord has called everyone, let him or her walk in the calling I have ordained (made it a rule) in all the churches.

When you give your life to the Lord, it brings glory to God for you are living a full life in the presence of the Lord. You’re ingrained in a growing relationship that has removed all the barriers between you and God. God is living within you through His Holy Spirit. As the born again it is important that we make changes in our lives as we make a commitment and a bond to live for God.

As Christians we must at all times respect God wherever we are, and whatever we do. We are to do God’s work and demonstrate our faithfulness to God everywhere. When we are called by God we are to continue to live the way God has given us this life that shows the world what has been given to us by God.

“God has given us His divine power through the knowledge of Him who has called us by His own glory and goodness.” (2 Peter 1:3)

God won’t you to know that He is the one who is releasing the gift of knowledge to those who have His understanding. This is why you must not be caught up in the foolish things of this world whereby you are trapped by ignorance. But you have the understanding of God to where you know the very word and will of God fully.

“If you don’t fully understand as a believer you can ask God for more knowledge.”
(Psalm 119:66)

God releases His knowledge to enlighten our minds, empowers our will, inspires our hearts, and gives us the ability to have wisdom and strength. This is why wisdom brings about strength, and knowledge gives power. This is the omniscience of God. God is all-knowing and He gives us His divine knowledge that empowers us to do His will.

In 1 Corinthians chapter 7, Paul teaches about marriage that each man should have his own wife, and each woman should have her own husband. (1 Corinthians 7:2)

The husband should give his wife all that he owes, and the wife should give to her husband all that she has. Each of you belong to each other and should not refuse to give your bodies to each other unless you both agree to stay away from relations for a time so you can give your time to prayer. Then come together again so satan cannot tempt you. He gives instructions to the widows and the unmarried.

“What I say unto you is not from me (Paul) it’s from the Lord.” (1 Corinthians 7:12)
His focus is the calling of God that gives all of us a purpose. My focus is my calling this is why I wish all people were like me, but each person has a gift from God.

1 Corinthians 7:20
“Each one of you should stay the way you were when God called you, for you are free, so make good use of your freedom.”

Abide in the same calling wherein you were called for in Christ we are free to serve the Lord as a servant, let every man, where he was called abide within his call unto God as you do the will of God and live for Him each day of your life, live in the knowledge of His own will.
