“God decided to let his people know this rich and glorious secret which he has for all people. This secret is Christ himself, who is in you. He is our only hope of glory,” Colossians 1:27.
What is hope?
Hope is a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen. It’s the confidence of what God has promised to us in His strength and power that is His faithfulness to us as we put our faith and trust in Him.
What is the messianic hope? God’s promise to you that He will raise you up as a faithful leader to His people to have authority over them and to lead them into faithfulness as the sons and daughters to God—to receive Jesus as our messianic hope that will redeem mankind back to the Father.
What is the messianic role of Jesus? Jesus is the messiah, the Christ, who is the Savior, the redeemer, and the Son of God. As the messiah or the Christ, he shall come as the anointed one and save His people from their sins.
We have seen and can testify that the Father has sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to be the Savior [redeemer] of the world (1 John 4:14).
God has made Jesus the man you nailed to the cross both Lord and Christ to save His people from their sins (Acts 2:36).
God chose to make known among the Gentiles how great His power is, including the riches of the glory of His mystery to them. God gave us Christ to live in us as the hope of our glory. In Him you will have access to all resources, strength, wisdom, perfect peace, and hope. This is how we are inspired by hope and belief in the messiah, Jesus the Christ, that gives us new life in Him through redemption. This is how we are pardoned from our sins and given reconciliation, adoption, justification, and eternal life. When we have Christ, we have new life in Him. We have the love for one another and the peace of God with all mankind. Christ is the hope of our glory and we are one in Him as Lord. We have a life for which we live in the hope of Christ. We live in Him and show forth through Him in all that is and all that is to come. In Him, we take on divine ‘sonship’ of His divine person: the God and man together showing forth His redemption to mankind as God. God said, ‘I will be with you as God, and I will dwell with you as Lord.’ His spiritual grace in us is to do His will. The hope that you have is a gift from God that is Yeshua, Jesus the Christ, the messiah, who is life in you. He will be with you as Lord. Now we give this life [Jesus] to each other and we shear this gift [Christ] with one another. What a beautiful blessing we have in Him as we take on new life in Him!
