Creation Entertainment, the folks who put on the huge Las Vegas Star Trek Convention each summer, are bringing dozens of amazing stars from the Star Trek franchise to Middle Tennessee for three days of intergalactic non-stop fun September 13-15, at Embassy Suites by Hilton Nashville SE Murfreesboro, 1200 Conference Center Blvd. Murfreesboro, TN 37129, off I-24 at the Medical Center Parkway Exit.

Come meet, get autographs from, and chat with your favorites, like African American actors Dawnn Lewis, Sonequa Martin Greene, Michelle Hurd, Cirroc Lofton, Celia Rose Gooding, David Ajala, and Tawny Newsome, along with a galaxy of other stars.

Over the years, I have been to many fun Creation events. Creation conventions do not oversell admissions, so everyone can see all the daytime programming, star panels, trivia games, cosplay contest and more.

You probably haven’t heard the incredible story about two young teenage Star Trek fans in NYC getting the legendary Gene Roddenberry to do interviews for a fanzine in the early ‘70s, whose excitement could not be contained and so they went where no fans had gone with an amazing Star Trek convention voyage that has lasted over 50 years. For decades, they have honored the philosophy of Roddenberry from their very first convention in 1971 (at the age of 15) to today — to provide safe and welcoming places for everyone who shared those common values. Their goal is to continue to celebrate the diversity and inclusion that Star Trek embodies so well. Those two guys, Gary Berman and Adam Malin, still run Creation Entertainment today, some 53 years later!
