Expressions of faith

Living in alignment with God's will, seeking His guidance, and maintaining faith ensures spiritual growth and confidence in His plan for our lives.

Bishop-Elect Dr. Monterey D. Lee, Sr.

“We are not desirous of vain glory, provoking or envying one another. We have confidence in God and what He wont’s us to do,” Galatians 5:26.

“This is the confidence [boldness] that we have towards Him [in God’s presence], that if we ask anything according to His [God’s] will He hears us,” 1 John 5:14.

‘According to His will’

To do the will of God your life must be in alignment with His plan for salvation—not what you want for your life. We must ask the Lord, ‘What is your will vs. my want? Lord, what are your commands? What do you have for me that is right for me?

“If we know He hears us every time we ask Him, we know we have what we need as we ask from Him,” 1 John 5:15.

When you have a love for God and His word, His will and love will be in you to keep you in His will. When you are in His will, you can ask according to His will and He will hear you. This is a triple standard and releasing. Love God, love others, and live in obedience to His will. That’s a triple standard, to a  triple releasing: ask according to His will, and He will hear you. Paul is releasing the very words of Christ in Matthews 7:7-8. It’s a triple releasing.

“Ask, and it shall be given. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened for you,” Matthews 7:7-8.

“Everyone who asks will receive; everyone who seeks [searches] will find; and everyone who knocks will have the door opened for them,”  Matthews 7:7-8.

Triple releasing as you conduct yourselves and receive the Holy Spirit and live a new life that is springing forth in your current life leads to a new you, moving you forward. Get the anointing of God that is for you in the Holy Spirit and live.

“The believes were together in the Temple. They praised God and were liked by all people, having favor. Every day the Lord added those who were being saved, such as should be saved to the church, to the group of believers,” Acts 2:46-47.

We must have a zeal for God and His word. Living in brotherly love that is contagious, healthy, and progressive as the church grows in God and His will. We must be attractive to others in order for them to come to Christ and take on new life.

  • “Brothers and Sisters, if someone in your group does something wrong [and is overtaken in a fault], you who are spiritual should go to that person and gently help make that person right again [restore one in the spirit of meekness]. But be careful [but consider yourself], because you might be tempted to sin, too,” Galatians 6:1.

No believer should ever think that he or she doesn’t need everyone to help them in life relationships with God. No believer is totally independent and doesn’t need help from someone. We all need someone praying for us, encouraging us, and someone who will keep us grounded in the word of God. As the ‘born-again,’ we influence others to grow by being an example in all that we say and do.
