“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart,” Hebrews 4:12.
The word of God is alive and active. It’s sharper than any two-edged sword. God’s word is powerful and penetrating, able to cut through the deepest parts of a person’s being [your individual existence, you, your being] exposing your thoughts and intentions—just like a sharp sword can pierce through flesh and bone. The word of God has the ability to convict, challenge, and transform your life when it is actively engaged within us. The word of God is actively engaged within us. It highlights the dynamic nature of a man and who we are and what the word says. It goes beyond looking at the reader to becoming the reader. It’s no longer words on a page, it’s life to the reserver. The word is a discerner of your thoughts and the intents of your heart. When we become the word, it’s about change—making us better decision makers.
No more hidden motives in the areas of revenge and anger to get back at the other person or people.
It changes our inner being, because it’s at work in us to the deepest aspects—signifying that God can and will change anybody at anytime. God can change you. This is why you don’t give up on anybody, because God and His word can and will change anybody at any time.
“Would not God discover this? For He [God] knows the secrets of the heart,” Psalm 44:21.
To have effective decision making in your life you must have the word of God that is more powerful than a two-edged sword. God knows that His word can and will discern your deepest thoughts and impious [ungodly] actions that you want to accomplish. Free will makes a great desire within you to wish you can. Active engagements with His word make us passive about the physical life. It’s time to bring about a change with conviction and transformation. By letting it out and being real about your hidden motives and thoughts, God can transform you without exposing you and convicting you. ‘God, whatever you do, transform me—make a change in my character, appearance, behavior, actions and functions. Make the transformation without exposure. Convict me, but don’t expose me. Let’s do it right, so we can make the right an effective decision maker for our lives.
“Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God. This is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is”: His good, pleasing and perfect will.”The Word of God is alive, powerful, and transformative, penetrating deep into our hearts and minds. Engaging with scripture convicts, renews, and guides us toward better decision-making and spiritual growth.
