Mt. Ararat hosts March Annual Men’s Day Events

“Calling All Men Who Are Willing to Work and Praise God!” is the theme for this year’s celebration of men at Mt. Ararat Missionary Baptist Church, 36 Fairfield Ave.

As the men of Mt. Ararat make the call to those willing, the public is invited to worship, celebrate, fellowship and praise with them during a month of scheduled events.

The Chair, Milton Henderson and co-chair, Lee Smotherman, along with the men of Mt. Ararat have decided to kick off this celebration on Friday night with a fish fry.  “From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. we will be serving fresh hot fish right out of the fryer,” said chairs, Henderson and Smotherman.

Following the fish fry, the men will gather again on Saturday, March 15th for “Men’s Night Out” at 5:00 p.m.  Females are also invited to Mt. Ararat to share in the evening worship service of, singing, praising and worshipping with male chorus groups from around the city.

On Saturday, March 22nd the men will host a Prayer Breakfast at 10:00 a.m. to continue in the celebration of events leading up to Men’s Day.  “Come and receive a blessing while being spiritually and physically fed,” said coordinators.

This breakfast asks that attendants offer a $5.00 donation.

And, finally the spread of events will culminate on Sunday, March 23rd for the highlighted Annual Men’s Day Worship Service at 10:50 a.m.
The public is invited to “Come and hear a powerful word from the Lord,” as the events have stayed true to the theme developed from the scripture of Judges 7:7, “Calling All Men Who Are Willing to Work and Praise God!”

During this worship services, those in attendance will receive a powerful word from guest speaker for the 10:45 a.m. worship service, the Rev. David Scruggs, Jr. from Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church.

Mt. Ararat is located at 36 Fairfield Ave. in Nashville under the leadership of Rev. Dr. James E. Henry, Senior Pastor.
